The infamous black cat circles Ron Santo in 1969 at Shea Stadium, just before the "Mircale Mets" write another chapter of the Cubs curse.

As a lifelong Cubs fan, I  have suffered along with  Cubs Fans worldwide  through losing seasons and  painful endings to great  seasons.  From the Billy Goat to the Black Cat to Durham to Bartman to LaTroy, Cubs  fans have felt the wrath of  their teams inability to win -   or even reach - the World  Series for several  generations.  With a new and inspired manager in Lou Piniella and a talented team, let's hope for a healthy - and victorious - 2007 season.  Now is the time to come together and Reverse the Curse, just as the Boston Red Sox did in 2004 and the crosstown White Sox did in 2005.
